Collective Worship
Picture shows a board split into four sections. Three sections show a window to symbolise opportunities to look out into the world around us, a mirror to remind us reflect on what we see and hear and a door representing the possibility of travelling through and taking action. The final quarter has the core concept of salvation with children’s thoughts and ideas on handprints.
This half term, the Clergy are focusing on the Nicaean Creed. The other worships follow the themes for collective worship from the London Diocesan Board of Schools cycle of Collective worship based around the Bible readings in Church each week. Here are some suggested questions and prayers which you may wish to also use with your children at home.

Some upcoming religious festivals and holy days
April 20 – Easter Day
April 20- Orthodox Easter
Many Orthodox Christians in the United Kingdom celebrate Jesus’ resurrection on Easter Sunday. The Orthodox Christian date for Easter Sunday, also known as Pascha, is often at a later date than the Easter date observed by many western churches but this year both fall on the same day.
April 20 – Last day of Passover
In the UK, the Jewish festival of Passover lasts one day longer than in Israel. The last day commemorates the Parting of the Red Sea and the Israelites' escape from Egypt.
April 28 – Saint George’s Day
St George's Day in England remembers St George, England's patron saint. The anniversary of his death, which is usually observed on April 23, is seen as England's national day.
Dance Festival
Congratulations to all the Year 5 and 2 pupils who took part in the Enfield Dance Festival last week. They performed really well and did the school proud! It was wonderful to see all the smiling faces as they performed. A big thank you to Mrs Payne, Mrs Hewitt and Miss Perrin for all their hard work and dedication in making the dances such a success.
Summer Uniform
Next term, children are able to wear summer uniform. All relevant information regarding school uniform can be found on the school website. Please ensure your child has a coat at school each day. As you will have read from our recent communication, we are making some changes to our uniform. Our updated school uniform policy can be found on our website.
Congratulations
Congratulations to Miss Yiapanis on the safe arrival of her daughter Rheya. Such lovely news.

Year 1 - The Easter Story
In RE, year 1 have been learning about the Easter Story from Palm Sunday to Easter Sunday. The children learned about the events of Palm Sunday, the Last Supper, Good Friday and Easter Sunday.
Each class has an Easter Garden, to see the stone rolled away and to help them understand the story.

Year 3 - Ancient Egypt
Year 3 have been immersing themselves in the world of Ancient Egypt. They have created papyrus paper in art, learnt about the social pyramid in history and have created brilliant non-chronological reports in English. For their reports, they gathered information for homework and used texts and their exercise books to further their knowledge.

Year 4 - Baking
Year 4 had an exciting day on Thursday! As part of our DT curriculum, they made ‘healthier biscuits’. We tried a range of biscuits, created our own recipe and got to bake them together.
