The Collective Worship Board
Image description: Picture shows the collective worship display board in the school’s entrance hall with themes for this term’s collective worship to enable the children to reflect and prompt them to think about their actions.
This half term, the Clergy are focusing on the Nicaean Creed. The other worships follow the themes for collective worship from the London Diocesan Board of Schools cycle of Collective worship based around the Bible readings in Church each week. Here are some suggested questions and prayers which you may wish to also use with your children at home.
This week
Themes drawn from Genesis 15:1-12 17-18 an Psalm 27
God makes and keeps his promises
Integrity
Keeping your promises
Neurodiversity celebration week
Questions: Have you ever broken a promise? How did you feel? How did the other person feel?
Do you find it easy to trust others to keep their promises? Why/why not?
What difference do you think it makes to a person’s life if they trust God to keep his promises? Tell me more!
Challenge: Be trustworthy this week
Prayer: Thank you God for your promise to always be with us. Thank you that you always keep your promises.Amen
Next Week
Themes drawn from Psalm Isaiah 55:1-9 63:1-8
God’s hope in adversity and hardship (Note: Christian hope is not wishful thinking or “fingers crossed” hoping for the best)
Keeping going when life is hard
Perseverance
Questions: What’s the toughest situation you have found yourself in?
Who do you rely on when things get tough?
Do you ever encourage yourself by remembering how you kept going in tough situations before?
Have you ever asked God to help you when things have been hard? What happened?
Challenge: Encourage someone who is going through a hard time or find a way to help them.

Well done to our Year 5 and 6 Debating Team
Well done to the group of children in Years 5 and 6 who participated in the Great Debate competition this week. A number of Enfield schools took part in this competition with a range of subjects covered. The children demonstrated remarkable confidence, articulation, and quick thinking in responding to their opponents' questions. Thank you to Mrs Hawting and Miss Poplar who helped the children to prepare for the competition.
Sports News - a report by Ruby and Bea, Year 5
"On Wednesday , the St Paul's Netball Club played a match against Keble Prep.
It started off well with Matilda and Poppy (Goal Attack and Goal Shooter) making a great team. St Paul's have had a few shots but only got one in, scored by Matilda. Cara, being the star player, scored a whopping four goals on pitch 2.
After half time, Issy G, Talia and Melinda swapped in for Phoebe, Issy E and Cara. Great start in the second half with Matilda, being inches away from a great goal. Poppy just scored a great goal and now, it’s full time on the first match. On pitch 1 it was 3-0 to St Pauls and on pitch two, it was 5-0 to St Pauls.
After half time, Katie was excellent and the final score for pitch one was two nil to Keble. On pitch two, it was 3-0 to St Pauls.
In the second game, Poppy and Nell both scored and the year fives had some great teamwork and passing. Emma is giving the team great advice as they are playing. Unfortunately, after the second half, the score was two nil to Keble Prep. They all played really well.
We asked Talia what her favourite bit of the match was and what position she likes to play. She said, “Nell scored and we had a great celebration. I play Wing Defence or Centre but today I started with Wing Defence but I think I am better at Centre.”
We also asked some others the same questions:
Issy G- “ The best bit was when I made an excellent pass to Katie. My favourite position is Goal Attack but in this match I played Wing Attack.”
We also interviewed a player from Keble Prep called Maryam. She said, “I scored four goals and thought that the match went really well.”

New church electoral rolls
Every six years, Church of England churches have to completely renew their electoral rolls. That happens this year, which means all four of our partner churches are now preparing new rolls. Even if you have been on a church electoral roll in the past, you still need to complete a new form if you would like to be on the new roll. You can be on the electoral roll of a parish you worship in regularly, and members of the Church of England can be on the electoral roll of the parish in which they reside. You can also be on more than one electoral roll.
On Thursday, year 1 took the train from Winchmore Hill to Enfield Chase. We walked to Enfield Baptist Church where we took part in an Easter Experience workshop. We listened to different characters tell the Easter Story from their point of view. The children also had the opportunity to do a table top activity to help them think about the stories they heard.

Year 3's Science
In Science Year 3 have been learning about ‘Movement and nutrition for the human body’. This week we were answering the key question ‘What is in a human skeleton?’. The children thoroughly enjoyed drawing around each other and identifying what organs our skeletons protect. They used iPads to research more information. Have a look at what they now know:
